About the organizational team

Cooperating with the International Advisory Board in making decisions on all the major conference and exhibition issues are Viggo Hansen and Svetlana Sheremetyeva. Each have been closely related to the Intellectual Property handling business for over 20 years and have strong experience in organizing conferences in many countries. They form a unique team of highly qualified specialists with complementary skills and capabilities, especially relevant to the IPWARE-SUMMIT 2011 scope of issues.

Viggo Hansen's has held a number of influential positions in the IP world including being the CEO of Lingtech, a Danish company established as a patent translation company using among other machine translation software, CEO of Hofman-Bang A/S (Danish IP law firm) and CEO of Zacco A/S one of Europe's leading IP consultancies. Viggo Hansen contributed a lot to a number of international IP conferences and training courses, featured as a keynote speaker and an advisory board member of IP related events, such as the IP Forum 2007 and the EU funded patent machine translation project PLuTO. He is on the Executive Committee of the European Association for Machine Translation. Being always at the front end of modern developments he has always maintained that good and reliable IT software is essential for effective processing of IP data and that knowledge about what's on the market is essential to select the right IT partners all resulting in raising profitability in the IP related businesses.

Svetlana Sheremetyeva, PhD (habilitation), president of LanA Consulting ApS and an honorable Professor of CBS - Copenhagen Business School, has got a high reputation as a devoted researcher and developer of quality IP related software in the frame of national and international/joint projects in the USA, Japan, Russia and Denmark. The range of IP oriented tools developed under the guidance of Svetlana Sheremetyeva cover major aspects of IP-related activities: knowledge management, case handling, keyword extraction, search, patent claim analysis, patent claim composition and machine translation of patents, etc.
